Danny now shares his skills! As official coach of the Red Bull Wings Academy – Licence to Trial Danny will teach 15 teens how to trial. The Red Bull Wings Academy takes place from August 16th to 17th in Munich. 15 “pupils” get the chance to participate in workshops about trial riding, mechanic skills and video editing. Danny releases new clip in cooperation with Lezyne

Some new YouTube entertainment from the King of Trials: Danny started a new cooperation with accessory manufacturer Lezyne. From now on, the US bicycle accessory manufacturer Lezyne equips Danny with all necessary tools to keep his bikes in shape. Danny is not only famous for his unbelievable performances full of style and individualism within the mountain bike scene – but he is also an inspiration for hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. His unbelievable riding challenges Danny’s physics as well as his equipment which has to suffer a high level of attrition. As everybody knows, that means a lot of puttering on the bikes. Especially because of the extreme degree of exposure on his bike, it is absolutely important for the former bike mechanic to have reliable and robust tools at his disposal.

A partnership with premium bicycle accessory manufacturer Lezyne was actually a self-evident cooperation: “I was working on my bike with just some nasty multi-tools my friend gave me. Because of my formation as bike mechanic I was used to nicer tools and I remembered a Lezyne multi tool, which was top. I checked out some other Lezyne products on the net and thought, it would be cool to approach to that company. I liked their brand image – and more important – knew they made good stuff. So we got in touch and it’s great that we’ve managed to work together”, comments Danny on the deal with Lezyne.

Make Danny the “Adventurer of the Year”

The famous National Geographic Magazine has nominated the Scottish trials genius Danny MacAskill for the Adventurer of the Year Award. Now it is up to Danny’s fan community to support him, so start voting on November 11th.

The Adventurer of the Year will be elected for the seventh time in 2011. Danny now ranges among sports heroes like surfing legend Kelly Slater (nominee 2008), sky flier Dean Potter (nominee 2009) or last year’s nominee extreme sailor David de Rothschild. The prize goes to athletes who embody the spirit of adventure in their discipline and push forward their sport to the next level. For Danny MacAskill that shoe definitely fits; he has been traveling around the whole world in 2011 which was captured in various videos.

Here are five reasons why the 25 years old Scotsman from the Isle of Skye could be crowned as “Adventurer of the Year”:
